Made it to the gym again this morning, again I had to change & adapt the movements to ensure I wasn’t doing too much movement in my knee, still felt like I got a great workout so I don’t mind.

Got home a little later as need to drive a different way home as the road was closed for an event so I was in a bit of a rush to get out of the house.

Apart from the past 40 minutes, today has been a non-work day! A friend and I went to our county show – for those who don’t know what this is it is a big event where the farming and countryside community come together and celebrate all that is great about these areas of our county. Due to the pandemic, there hasn’t been a show since 2019 so it was much anticipated as it’s a massive event in the farming calendar. There are food stalls, craft stalls, displays and so much more!

I’m lucky enough to live quite close to the showground where it is held so I could walk there and meet my friend when they finally arrived, they were driving and got stuck in show traffic for over an hour.

It’s been another scorcher of a day with temperatures reaching 27°C! Like I said before I love this hot weather but even for me this was draining walking around in full sunshine and although I did put some suncream on I’m looking rather red this evening (hopefully this will go brown in the coming days!!) and feeling the effects of nearly 6 hours in the sun! It was a great day and caught up with loads of people I haven’t seen for years so worth it really. It is on again tomorrow but I’m at the uni covering for a colleague who is going to the show!

Think I’ll sleep well tonight despite the warm weather as done over 22,000 steps and 14km!

I'm 40 something gal living in the beautiful county of Lincolnshire, England. I run my own business which is a rollercoaster of good times and bad times but it is what makes life interesting. I'm a self-confessed foodie, which some people might think is bordering an obsession, but a good obsession I would say. I am a fully qualified food technologist, nutritionist and personal trainer and use my skills and knowledge to keep striving to better myself in all areas of my life. Despite being dyslexic I love reading both fiction and non-fiction books and usually have four or five on the go at any one time. I enjoy keeping myself fit and healthy by regular visits to the gym as well as enjoying open water swimming and sometimes I'm brave enough to swim without a wetsuit. This blog is all about my life and adventures.
